Terms of Service
Overview
Keyboard Play is a free, browser-based musical instrument. By using the site you agree to the terms below.
A free service, provided "as is"
The service is free and provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Your recordings belong to you
All playing and recording happens locally in your browser. Any MP3 you export is yours — Keyboard Play does not claim any rights to your performances or recordings, and nothing you play is uploaded to our servers. See our privacy policy.
Third-party components
This site is built with open-source components, each used under its license: SpessaSynth (Apache-2.0, real-time SoundFont synthesis), the FluidR3 General MIDI soundfont (MIT), and lamejs / LAME (LGPL-3.0, MP3 encoding).
Acceptable use
Do not abuse, reverse-engineer, or attempt to disrupt the service, and do not scrape content at a volume that harms it.
Governing terms
These terms are governed by the laws of the operating entity's jurisdiction (to be confirmed upon launch). Any dispute relating to the service should, where possible, be raised informally first through our contact page, and will otherwise fall under the competent courts of that jurisdiction.
Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. Changes are posted on this page.
